We are looking for a Medical/Office assistant to join our team. The position would have a "home base" at our Los Angeles office, and would require regular travel to our satellite offices in the surrounding area including but not limited to Palmdale, Northridge, North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, LA, Chino, and Huntington Park, as well as occasionally up the coast to the Ventura/Oxnard area. Travel will often be to more than one location in one day. This position will also include light office/phone work including but not limited to preparing for appointments, prepping charts, scheduling patients, etc. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced job where no two days are the same and has great communication skills.
Do you have some training and experience as a Medical Assistant, or a strong background in office work? The MA Certification is preferred but not a deal breaker. The actual medical assistant work in our satellite locations is fairly simple consisting of checking patients in, ensuring they complete the correct forms, taking simple measurements, and helping the doctor complete the medical-legal evaluations (QMEs). However, organization, reliability, punctuality, and the ability to plan ahead are key due to the busy schedule and working out of multiple locations.
Must have reliable transportation, and mileage will be reimbursed at the federal rate.
Hours will vary slightly depending on appointment start time and distance to location, though the base schedule will be 8am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday. Flexibility is required and the ability to start early or stay late is a must.
Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.
Interviews will be held virtually and/or in our Newbury Park office, and candidates must be willing to travel to the interview.
