JOB DESCRIPTION
At New Balance South Windsor we measure feet, scan feet and recommend premium footwear and orthotics for each guest that comes into our store. We offer a full-service fitting and fit the sneakers to the customers foot, lace the shoes up for each guest, and check for proper fit. We have an emphasis on solving common foot pathologies and utilize a multitude of tools to improve customer comfort.
We are searching for seasoned customer service representatives that are responsible, reliable and possess expert level verbal communication, a positive and excited demeanor, and those committed to growth and learning. You can expect to:
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by maintaining a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, personalized shoe fitting with our New Balance fit system, maintaining solid product knowledge and providing outstanding customer service.
- Recommend, select and help locate merchandise and accommodate customers needs.
- Explain each products features, benefits, care and maintenance to the customer.
- Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
- Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and housekeeping.
- Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
- Assist in completing price changes.
- Participate in inventory run and day to day register operations.
- Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
- Interact and cooperate with all company employees.
- Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be a people person! Past retail experience strongly preferred. Strong customer service and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment. Familiarity with cash register functions. Ability to quickly perform basic math. Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays. Ability to: lift 6 lbs. frequently; lift maximum 15 lbs. occasionally; kneel or squat frequently; move boxes of product up to 50 lbs (with assistance if necessary); stand for extended periods of time; climb ladders occasionally.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
