Responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance and ensure the availability and reliability of network resources.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including firmware upgrades, patch management, and system backups.
- Identify and resolve network bottlenecks and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Optimize network performance through traffic analysis, bandwidth management, and quality of service (QoS) configurations.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend network enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Investigate and resolve network-related issues reported by end-users or detected through monitoring tools.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior Senior Network Administrators and other IT staff.
- Document network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and resolution steps for future reference.
- Collaborate with other IT teams, including systems administrators, cybersecurity specialists, and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of network services with other IT systems.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns related to network infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in network administration, with a focus on enterprise-level environments.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP.
- Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Extreme, and Palo Alto Networks.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues.
- Industry certifications, such as ECP, ECS, CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP, are highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
