Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to recipes, portion sizes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
- Assist in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs
- Oversee food production processes to meet service deadlines and maintain consistency in taste and presentation
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines
- Support special events, catering functions, and dietary department requirements as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a culinary role with a focus on food production, and supervising kitchen operations
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment operation
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other departments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
