Qualifications
- Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Bachelor Degree preferred
- Experience in Medical Billing
- Strong organizational skills, quick and accurate typing skills, paying attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time is very important
- Experience working with Kareo/Tebra or another EHR system is desirable but not required
- 6-8 hour schedule, 3 days a week, Monday - Fridays, on-site
Responsibilities
- Greeting patients, patient registration
- Billing support - work with Chief Financial Officer for Billing support items
- Entry of charges into EHR system
- Posting payments to EHR system
- Contacting insurance companies regarding appeals
- Check patients' insurances for eligibility at the time of visit and/or before scheduling a new appointment
- Referral coordination
- Scheduling Admin Support, Prior Authorization
- Create and maintain electronic medical record for client(s)
- Obtain, track, and maintain authorizations for services
- Provide ongoing support to Chief Executive Officer/Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administration Officer and clinical staff
- Manage front desk duties including: maintaining waiting area, checking in clients, answering phones and filing
- Assist with scheduling clinical appointments and appointment reminders
- Manage psychopharmacology schedule and provide support to psychiatric staff
- Maintain office appearance by working closely with other team members and ensuring office is presentable for clients
- Receive and manage inquiry calls and walk-ins
- Check voicemails and follow up with clients in a timely manner
- Organize office operations and procedures, including faxing, filing and scanning
- Other duties as assigned

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
