We are currently seeking an experienced Wedding & Event Coordinator to join our team at a dynamic, fast-paced high-end floral design studio in Boston. Candidate should be creative, energetic, calm under pressure, with excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Responsibilities Include:
Client Relations & Correspondences:
· Responsible for communication with Bridal & Event clients, from initial contact and design consultations through the day of event. Must be able to actively listen, interpret and discuss potential design options in a polished, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable way.
· Stay up-to-date with all subsequent client emails, phone calls, and follow-up meetings. Conduct venue site visits in and around the Boston area. Create mood boards, design mock-ups and sketches.
Design Proposals:
· Synthesize all client feedback and interpret into a cohesive design plan, taking into account the client’s budgetary needs while also presenting creative, unique ideas.
Vendor Relations:
· Communicate efficiently and professionally with all vendors, planners, and venue contacts. Source rentals, props and equipment. Responsible for all event day of timing, venue specifications, ensuring all requirements are met.
Sales:
· Promote company services and concepts in a subtle, positive way.
Internal Design Communication:
· Work closely with studio designers, management, and other staff to ensure all elements of the event are considered, pre-ordered, and executed in a way that fulfills the client’s vision while keeping the company’s standards and aesthetics intact.
On-Site Event Production:
· Direct and execute all on-site load-in, set-up and movement. This includes hands-on installation and basic floral arranging, management of all staff and day-of timelines, and maintaining professional, positive, and unhurried vendor and client interactions.
Retail/Studio Support:
· Assist with standard day to day orders (phone/email) as well as retail sales when needed, providing knowledgeable and friendly customer service for walk-in shoppers.
· On occasion, support studio with daily production and larger installations.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in event and/or floral industry. Management experience is a plus.
- Self-confident and independently driven.
- Regular weekend and evening availability is required.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Knowledge and enthusiasm in respect to all things floral.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Artistic/Design background.
- Proficiency/experience with QuickBooks, Mac OS X programs, Adobe Design Suite & photo-editing programs.'
