Job Summary: Work involves maintaining an inventory of parts for industrial equipment and motor vehicles. Partner is responsible for inventorying, stocking, and issuing parts and supplies and/or purchasing assigned or designated parts and services from vendors.
Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned:
- Performs the duties of Parts Clerk I
- Works under direct supervision and selects from a variety of established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks
- Applies basic and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment appropriate to area of specialization
- Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels
- Use of specialized subject matter knowledge required
- Performs advanced inventory of parts
- Issues parts to mechanics utilizing FIFO
- Opens Work Orders
- Purchases parts and prepares Purchase Orders
- Performs some training
- Performs advanced inventory practices
- Receives parts from vendors
- Picks up parts from vendors
- Issues parts/items to retail customers and internal mechanics
- Purchases parts from established vendors
- Processes returned parts for warranty evaluation
- Performs basic customer service duties
Preferred Education and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Parts Department
- High school diploma
- MHE certification
- Intermediate skill in MS Office
- Familiar with inventory practices (FIFO, Cycle Counts, Annual Inventory)
- Basic verbal and written communication skills
