Warehouse Supervisor (Contract)– Miami, AZ project
This contractor will be on the jobsite in Miami, AZ 90 miles east of Phoenix, in the heart of Arizona’s historic Globe-Miami mining district with potential business travel to engineering offices both elsewhere in the US and in Canada.

This contractor position is on a temporary basis and will be located/working on the Miami, AZ mine site.
Hands on Supervisor who understands how to manage a warehouse and can provide the necessary oversight, guidance and management to the construction contractor responsible for running the warehouse.
Essential Functions:
- Develop a basic material and equipment storage plan showing the location of warehouses, laydown yards, weather-protected storage areas, site fabrication facilities, and construction equipment storage and maintenance. This responsibility includes identifying the type of materials and equipment to be stored at each location
- Ensure proper maintenance by the construction contractor of the Materials Controls computerized system - a data processing tool that assists users in the performance of day-to-day material operations
- Supervise and assist the construction contractor in receiving, checking, storing, issuing, and maintaining records on all materials and equipment
- Supervise the construction contractor in requisitioning, controlling, issuing, inventorying, and maintaining records on all small tools and expendable supplies
- Supervising the construction contractor in preparing and distributing Overage, Shortage, and Damage Reports for all shipment discrepancies
- Supervising the construction contractor in ensuring preservation activities are undertaken in accordance with vendor recommendations

Minimum Qualifications:
· Education: High School diploma and 15 years’ experience in materials management warehousing, with at least 8 years in supervisory roles
· .Ability to analyze complex data, identify potential problems with solutions and give accurate projections. Strong problem-solving skills required.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
· Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting, record-keeping etc
· Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
· Proficient in the use of personal computers in a business environment: MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook is essential
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large copper production and related facilities
- Prior EPCM experience preferred
- Working as a team member (Client, EPCM & Contractors)
