Job Summary:
Currently we are seeking to add a full-time, experienced Pharmacy Technician/Clinical Research Coordinator to bring your expertise to our already existing staff of highly qualified team members. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of investigational pharmaceutical care to patients with complex medical conditions. You will also work closely with our clinical research staff in the capacity of a Clinical Research Coordinator, offering your talents in data entry and/or regulatory responsibilities for a variety of different studies. Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of investigational products
- Reviewing and recording patient medication information in compliance with the guidelines of the protocol
- Maintaining the appropriate amount of investigational product inventory and supplies available in the pharmacy.
- Assisting in the daily operations of pharmacy tasks.
- Dispensing completed and confirmed medications for patient visits.
- Complying with regulations, rules, and procedures to maintain a clean and safe pharmacy.
- Maintaining accountability logs and forms
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician with a current license to practice in the State of Arizona preferred, but not required.
- Experience working as a pharmacy technician in a private practice, hospital, or community pharmacy preferred.
- Compliance with institutional policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Guidelines
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Effective communication and attention to detail
- Strong information and time management, as well as proficient computer skills, preferred.
- Ability to take direction and apply change, when indicated.
- Ability to perform as a contributing team member.
- Experience in research is not required. Research specific training will be provided.
Education:
Minimum of an Associate degree. Bachelors’ Degree is preferred.
