JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector, under the supervision of the Quality Manager, will perform daily inspection, paperwork generation, and related quality activities in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS) in an ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 manufacturing facility.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform incoming inspection and acceptance of incoming materials.
· Perform roving inspections to verify in-process product quality.
· Perform final inspection for release of finished goods.
· Generate inspection reports, nonconforming material reports, certification documents and other required quality records.
· Perform device history record (DHR) review for reconciliation of quantity, lot traceability, and other paperwork errors per good documentation practices (GDP).
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
· Participate in other supplemental activities relevant to the QMS, as required.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Inspection experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS/CHARACTERISTICS
- Proficiency with basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gage pins.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer navigation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Indoor production environment, duties performed indoors, adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures. Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently positions self to move an item <25 lbs; Occasionally, 25-70 lbs with team lift. Frequently move about the production floor and office area. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of standing and working at waist height inspection stations.
