Clinical Coordinator (Job Title)
The Clinical Coordinator reports to the Administration of the COMPASS School. The clinical Coordinator is responsible for the therapeutic needs of students and staff and is expected to create a safe, nurturing, therapeutic, educational environment. It is essential that the Clinical Coordinator understands the clinical, behavioral, and educational needs of their students. The Clinical Coordinator works with the Program Coordinator and Educational Coordinator to implement student treatment plans and Social Emotional Learning.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assume co-responsibility for program operations with the Program Coordinator and Educational Coordinator;
- Be responsible for the daily decisions regarding the treatment of all students.
- Coordinate the scheduling, implementing, and documenting of Treatment Team meetings.
- Work with related services to develop and implement student treatment plans, utilizing Treatment Team meetings;
- Perform supervision of clinical social workers;
- Meet with leadership staff and school administration for weekly roster reviews regarding student, program, and administrative issues;
- Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to facilitate a healthy therapeutic milieu.
- Collaborate with the Educational Coordinator to facilitate a healthy therapeutic classroom.
- Co-facilitate with the Educational and Clinical Coordinators in weekly staff meetings.
- Perform all clinician duties and maintain a caseload;
- Ensure clinicians and interns adhere to schedules;
- Organize all therapeutic groups.
Job Functions:
- Provide Crisis Prevention Intervention to students displaying escalated behaviors
- Provide support to all program staff during times of crisis or trauma;
- Perform any duties the Administration deems necessary to ensure the safety of the clients and the goals of the agency.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Master’s degree in one of the following fields: Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, a related Social Science;
- Must have demonstrated ability and experience in program administration and development.
- Must have ability and experience in supervising direct care staff.
- Must have a working knowledge of IDEA, DYS, and DCF procedures and policies.
- Must be certified in First Aid by the American Red Cross.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Able to use Mac operating systems and Google Suite.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to provide physical crisis intervention with students that may include physical restraint
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
