Full-Time PAT/Pre-Op/PACU RN
Holston Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center, a leading multispecialty surgery center, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time PAT/Pre-Op/PACU RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Pre-Operative (Pre-Op), and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings. This role is critical in ensuring patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout the surgical experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- PAT (Pre-Admission Testing):
- Conduct thorough pre-admission assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
- Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, including pre-operative instructions and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive care plan.
- Pre-Op:
- Prepare patients for surgery by completing pre-operative procedures and ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and address any concerns or abnormalities.
- PACU:
- Provide immediate post-operative care, monitoring patients' vital signs, pain levels, and overall condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as needed.
- Ensure patients are stable and ready for discharge or transfer to another unit.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and care plans.

Required Skills:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Tennessee.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with previous PAT, PreOp or PACU experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
