Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wheelchair Medical Transportation Driver to join our growing team. This role is crucial in helping us fulfill our mission of providing exceptional NEMT services to those in need. As our client base continues to expand, we need someone who is committed to offering the same level of care and professionalism that has made B.I.Medserve a trusted name in medical transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, treatment centers, and other healthcare facilities.
- Assist clients with mobility challenges, ensuring they are securely and comfortably situated in their wheelchairs during transport.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle, performing regular safety checks.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare providers to ensure a smooth and timely transportation experience.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, prioritizing the safety of clients at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including pick-up and drop-off times, mileage, and any client concerns.
- Provide compassionate and respectful service, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards clients’ needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a similar role or within the NEMT industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assist clients with limited mobility, including safely securing wheelchairs in the vehicle.
- Strong commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
