The Position:
The Area Manager is a leader within the company who models exemplary leadership skills necessary to operate high performing restaurants. Additionally, this position is responsible for directing daily operations of the area restaurants, ensuring compliance with MAD Greens standards in all areas of operations. This position will cultivate a “Work at Fun” culture and drive internal employee development. This position will report to the Director of Operations..
Responsibilities:
- Identify development needs of restaurant managers thru ongoing internal succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with MAD Greens guest service and operational standards; analyze results, personally observe performance, provide direction, support, and follow-up to ensure restaurant managers address and correct concerns or deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Conduct weekly visits that focus on the quality of restaurant operations, staff appearance, guest service, restaurant cleanliness, employee relations, and employee recognition. Conduct monthly meetings with restaurant management team to communicate operational initiatives in the market.

Perform restaurant compliance audits on a quarterly basis. Address deficiencies in one on one meeting with manager’s, set needed action plan to fix deficiencies and schedule follow up time as needed.
- Analyze monthly numbers, identify opportunities; create operational strategies for improvement. Monitor, follow-up, and communicate outcomes in areas identified for improvement.

Review weekly online schedules to ensure staffing levels are appropriate to ensure an excellent guest experience. Provide support and guidance to restaurant managers when scheduling concerns arise.

Main area contact for all systemic food quality issues. Provide direction to management team with solutions to address and fix quality issues. Communicate areas of concern to executive leadership and follow up for resolution.

Responsible for ongoing quality assurance checks with food and recipe items in all restaurants.

Provide guidance and ensure that the Cookbook is being used as it is intended in the restaurant by talking with team members directly on their progress in the Cookbook Development tool.

Consistently holds restaurant managers and staff accountable for staff performance. Communicate with Human Resources and Director of Operationsl on all employee relations issues.
- Conducts business review meetings and assists with store meetings to communicate company and area initiatives from business review meetings.
- Responsible for adhering to all MAD Greens safety procedures by creating a safety conscious culture. Communicates safety initiatives in business review meetings. Ensures compliance in all safety guidelines specific to the industry.
- Ensures all policies and procedures are being followed at all times to MAG Greens standards.
- Cultivates a culture of providing the highest level of hospitality between the guests and employees.
Requirements:

Strong Management and Leadership skills with well developed ability using persuasive influence, forward/strategic thinking; and superior communication skills

Well developed delegation abilities including; holding others accountable, business planning and communicating across a dispersed group of restaurant managers

Strong business, technical and financial savvy with the ability to anticipate business trends and develop tactics and solutions in alignment with corporate strategy

Articulate and solid communicator with effective presentation skills; ability to communicate complex concepts both verbally and in writing
