Position Overview
At Patrol Protect Secure (PPS), we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Controller to join our team. In this critical role, the Corporate Controller will oversee the company’s financial operations, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial reporting. This position demands a strategic thinker with a strong foundation in both operational and technical accounting within the security industry. Proficiency in financial software such as WinTeam, along with standard office tools like Excel and Word, is essential. The Corporate Controller will lead financial initiatives, foster internal controls, and play a key role in the financial decision-making process that supports the company’s growth objectives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the accounting operations, including the review of journal entries, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and statutory reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, and prepare financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
- Supervise the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports for government regulatory agencies, and reports for management.
- Responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements, managing intercompany transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards to ensure accurate financial reporting and informed decision-making within the PPS organization.
- Financial Integration and Reporting Post-Acquisition: After an acquisition is completed, oversee the financial integration of the acquired entity into PPS’s financial framework. This includes ensuring that the financial reporting processes are aligned, integrating financial systems, and establishing internal controls to maintain the integrity of financial reporting across the newly expanded organization.
- Lead the budgeting process and provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.
- Work closely with IT to ensure the integrity of the accounting system and the efficient use of other standard office software.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Act as a key contact for external auditors; manage preparation and support of all external audits.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification.
- A minimum of 10 years of accounting and finance experience, with at least 5 years in a controller capacity within the security industry or a similar field.
- Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software (specifically WinTeam), Microsoft Excel, Word, and other standard financial management tools.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage audits, compliance, and corporate governance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the security services industry, with a focus on both armed and unarmed services.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record of process improvement and implementation of best practices in financial management.

Pay: $145,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
