Job Summary
Vital leadership partner in JCCMW mission driven departments, Adult Program Manager manages and executes our vibrant adult programming which includes lectures, workshops, support groups, and trips.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Organizes programs for adults, inclusive of advance scheduling, program setup, and engagement with adults before, during and after program.
- Builds, designs, plans, develops and implements new and innovative adult programming in collaboration with staff and lay leadership that build upon and improve current programming.
- Supports and provides support to contracted professional facilitators and volunteers to ensure success of programs.
- Partners with Shames JCC, Sid Jacobson JCC & the Mid-Island Y JCC to collaboratively secure and maximize the benefits of joint programming.
- Collaborates with senior residential communities and other local organizations to capitalize on partnerships while expanding programming reach.
- Works closely with department heads responsible for management and expansion of programs.
- Communicates regularly with community members through weekly updates, one-on-one outreach, and in-person conversation.
- Partners with JCCMW professional staff for innovative JCCMW community-wide events as needed.
- Performs regular program evaluation and recommends methods to promote and increase patron involvement.
- Collaborates with the Development (Fundraising) team to renew grant funding, report on use of grant funds, and identify funding sources and grant opportunities for programs.
- Promotes the JCC’s mission while bringing an entrepreneurial focus towards department management duties.
- Develops new partnerships with local senior , national, and international civic and Jewish organizations and communities.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Skills, Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field required; Masters degree in social work, education or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a programmatic environment serving emerging adult and/or older adult populations.
- Experience creating and executing innovative programs from start to finish.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the Westchester County emerging older adult community is a plus.
- Self-starter that is able to pivot programming and/or program platforms to meet current and changing community needs.
- Positive and collaborative attitude when overseeing initiatives.
- Ability to work well with a diverse group of people.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job includes movement within an office environment. The role requires the ability to write by hand and use a keyboard to perform general office functions. Also requires the ability to communicate by speech and hearing continuously. Visual acuity is needed for detailed work, and computer use. The ability to sit for extended periods of time is also a requirement.

Pay: $77,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
