The Fox Theatre Tucson is looking for a Maintenance Manager to add to their Facilities and Production team! This position will report to the Director of Production & Facilities and will oversee the physical plant including buildings, grounds, and equipment, ensuring safety, functionality, and cleanliness, and representing the Fox professionally and with pride of place to all internal and external stakeholders.

You are team-oriented, work with a sense of urgency, and can be flexible with a proven ability to move facilities projects forward
You are solution-oriented, and a Jack of All Trades in terms of knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electric, carpentry, and general maintenance
You have excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to prioritize, listen, offer solutions, negotiate, and work constructively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
You are looking for a long-term opportunity and understand that historical buildings have a learning curve and enjoy the unique challenge
What you will do:
Areas of responsibility include negotiating contracts and overseeing necessary work calls with external service providers, ordering and maintaining inventory of basic building supplies, inspecting facilities to meet safety and cleanliness expectations, responding to staff work order requests, conducting routine maintenance and minor repairs, and coordinating contractors on other repairs.
- Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, including theater front and back of house, offices, parking areas, outdoor forays and sidewalks, and all other owned properties.
- Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.
- Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
- Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.
- Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, including completing maintenance orders, periodic cleaning tasks, and/or coordinating repairs with qualified outside vendors.
- Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.
- Collaborating with upper management on budgeting for facilities needs.
- Build and maintain effective and proactive working relationships with local vendors and service providers.
- Other responsibilities as requested, as part of a positive and productive team pursuing the best for those we serve.

Qualifications:
Top candidates will have proven experience developing, refining, and leading transparent and efficient financial and business management strategies, procedures, and reports, in a dynamic and evolving non-profit environment.
- Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, basic electricity, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other building systems.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team members.
- Great time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
- Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods.
- Must be comfortable working on ladders and lifts, and not have a problem with heights.
- Ability to read blueprints and other technical drawings.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on projects with minimal direction.
- Flexible hours are necessary, some early mornings and evenings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
