Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Music A&R (Artists and Repertoire) to join our team. The Music A&R will be responsible for discovering and developing musical talent, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the artistic development of artists. The job starts at $17 an hour, plus commission, and $20 an hour after probation period, plus commission. Your main responsibility is to develop strategies and tactics to market and sell the labels artist music, and events. The job is remote, and all artists range from all genres of music.
As our Marketing Representative, You will oversee specific territorial markets. In order to successfully market albums, Events, the Marketing Representative must work closely with our artist managers to plan and implement strategies. This will include delivering and setting up promotional displays and concocting radio station giveaway contests, calling venues (Like clubs, and events) to land gigs for artists.
The Marketing Representative is also responsible for calling and/or reaching out on social media to establishments to promote.
Also gather project stream/view reports from the various social media, music streaming data in a specific market and will then pass these sales numbers along to radio and TV stations, major trade publications, and local venues.
The job basically requires our Music Marketing Representatives to take our artist's music, and spread it through the city, before spreading it regionally, and then the final step, nationally. Hourly pay, plus commission (Commission is based on goals accomplished, and paid commission bonuses of 5% from each gig booked for the artist you're assigned to), and as the artist grows, so will your position within the company.
Duties:
- Scout for new musical talent through attending live performances, reviewing demos, and networking within the music industry.
- Collaborate with artists to develop their sound and image.
- Negotiate contracts with artists, songwriters, and producers.
- Oversee the recording process and provide creative input during production.
- Work closely with marketing and promotion teams to maximize artist exposure.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in A&R within the music industry.
- Strong knowledge of music trends and genres.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify potential hit songs and artists.
- Familiarity with music production processes.
- Passion for discovering new talent and shaping their careers.
