GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responding to incoming calls regarding medical questions and concerns. Review urgent and emergent referrals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include any and or all of the following: Other duties may be assigned as appropriate.
Triage in-bound clinical care calls assesses patient concerns and responds according to clinical care protocols.
- Review medical records for urgent requests.
- Provide patient education as instructed.
- Document and utilize the electronic medical record according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Follow all practice policies and procedures for appointment scheduling, insurance verification, telephone interactions, and other job responsibilities as established.
- Assist with nurse triage call backs.
- Assist with retrieving clinical care voicemails.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Current State of Maine Registered Nurse (RN) License*
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
B.L.S. certified, active Maine R.N. license, BLS certified, ACLS certification encouraged, CGRN encouraged.

HOURS OF OPERATION
This position is 40 hours per week, which can be done in either a 4 day x 10 hour schedule, or a 5 day x 8 hour schedule.
