The City of Surprise Community Development Department seeks a highly motivated and collaborative, solutions-oriented project leader to join its team in the capacity of Management Analyst!
The role of Management Analyst is a fast-paced and dynamic position which supports the Department’s reporting and software needs, monitors and analyzes the Department budget, and reviews, updates, and implements Department policy. A successful candidate must have a growth mindset, be flexible, a quick learner, and a people person! In this role, individuals will demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills, project management aptitude, exceptional communication skills, conflict resolution skills, and have experience managing and delivering a high-volume of wide-ranging priorities in a timely and accurate manner. The work environment is typically an office setting with routine office hours M-F, 8am to 5pm, but could potentially require occasional early morning or evening meeting commitments.

SUMMARY
Incumbents are responsible for providing research and complex support to the Community Development Department. Incumbents work closely with the Business Analyst, Business Manager and leadership throughout the department in the areas of data gathering, analysis, technology, financial and contract management, and business process. Incumbents assist in preparing various reports, writing operational policies and procedures, managing various fiscal activities, participating in or chairing citywide committees, and planning and coordinating special projects. Incumbents may represent the department on a variety of higher profile matters.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree and two years progressively responsible experience working in budget, finance, technology, project management, community development, or another directly related field; or and equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the duties of the job such as those listed in the job description. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
