We are looking for an energetic, confident Sales Coordinator to join our Sales team. This person plays a critical role in the success of the sales growth by serving as a central point of contact for new and existing customers and supports sales representatives to maximize sales performance. This person will work closely with the Sales team and Top Tier Global Retailers.
Job Description
- Serve as the point of contact for customers with questions about products, orders, deliveries and provide support for the sales representatives.
- Receive and process orders from various sources (email, EDI, fax, phone). Verify accuracy of all information received. Make corrections as needed by contacting vendor partners and or sales representatives.
- Ensure on-time delivery of product by accurately entering information into systems to ensure that vendor partner and internal departments fulfill and meet delivery expectations.
- Assist in reducing late orders by tracking and confirming shipments with Operations and vendor partner.
- Maintain and update sales and customer records.
- Assist sales managers in preparing documents, including but not limited to: application for new accounts, discount request forms, credit applications, return merchandise authorization (RMA) requests, credit memos, and vendor agreements.
- Resolve delivery issues by coordinating with transportation, operations, Regional Sales Managers, brokers and vendor partners.
- Ensure correct billing by coordinating pricing issues with promotions department, brokers, and/or Regional Sales Managers.
- Provide sales support by answering various questions, running reports, and resolving issues as they arise.
- Track samples to assist in development of sales of the product.
- Assist sales team in preparing for meetings with presentations and sample prep
- Manage distribution of sales material to the Global Sales Team
- Efficiently respond to any customer inquiries
- Collaborates with different departments to coordinate order flow.
- Be an active part of executing sales strategy
- Run routine sales reports, authenticate information, and distribute
- Assist with New Product Launch initiatives, including development of price sheets and other sales materials and forwarding to accounts.
- Responsible for all shipping documents such as Invoices, Packing Lists and Bills of Lading.
Key skills and qualifications of a Sales Coordinator:
- Associates Degree or higher and one 1 to 2 years or RECENT related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in sales support or advance customer service.
- Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint experience.
- B2B sales experience required
- Spanish bilingual (speak/read/write)
- Must be highly organized and able to multi-task
- Must be a team player and assist other departments if necessary
- Excellent team development and leadership skills
- Experience in the Consumer Goods industry a plus
- Experience with SAP Business 1 a plus
- Demonstrated success in forming interdepartmental relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently, with initiative, and good business judgment.
- Ability to prioritize own workload.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- A passion for excellence and customer service.
- Strong project management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
