Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $138,400 - $335,800 (Annual Rate).

Department Description
The UCSF Facilities Services Department (FS) is committed to creating an exceptional campus physical environment to support the research, teaching, health care and community service mission of the University. FS employs over 460 professional staff and acts as steward for over $100 million in operating funds to achieve its goals in operating and maintaining the UCSF campus environment. FS is organized into 7 operating units: (1) West Campus/Parnassus Operations, (2) East Campus/Mission Bay Operations, (3) Engineering & Utilities, (4) Infrastructure & Renewal Programs, (5) Customer Service & Technology, (6) Custodial Services, and (7) Office of the AVC, including Administration & Communications.

Required Qualifications
- License in architecture, engineering, urban design, city planning or landscape architecture, or related field required.

Minimum of ten years experience in facilities or property management.

Advanced knowledge of organization, system-wide and governmental policies and procedures and any related applicable laws and regulations.

Knowledge of building codes, fire/life safety regulations and OSHA requirements.

Advanced strategic planning experience related to facilities requirements.

Demonstrated experience establishing collaborative partnerships in order to meet strategic objectives.

Strong problem resolution ability as demonstrated by past record of solving facilities related challenges.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing with customers, department administrators, staff at all levels and non-University personnel.

Experience with workplace safety programs (Cal OSHA).

Leadership skills to mentor and develop management staff.

Strong knowledge of financial principles to analyze financial, operational and budgetary data.

Broad knowledge of management, marketing, construction and maintenance principles, budgeting and codes and statutes.
- Advanced to expert knowledge of engineering and / or architectural design and concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, urban design, city planning or landscape architecture, or related field.

Master's degree in architecture, engineering, urban design, city planning or landscape architecture, or related field.

APPA CEFP, IFMA CFM/FMP, BOMA RPA/FMA
License/Certification
License in architecture, engineering, urban design, city planning, landscape architecture or related field required.
