The Facility Technician is responsible for routine maintenance and upkeep of the building interior and surrounding grounds. The main duties include cleaning/housekeeping, trash removal, local pick-ups/deliveries. The Facility Technician may also be called on to offer production assistance when needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning activities throughout the facility such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitizing.
- Perform daily trash removal in the building such as break rooms, offices, conference rooms, production floor, restrooms, etc.
- Daily inventory of breakroom and replenishment of snacks, water, utensils, condiments, cleaning products, etc.
- Monitor restroom supplies daily and restock toiletries, hand soap, hand towels, cleaning supplies, etc.
- Monitor first aid supplies daily and replenish stock as needed.
- Pallets removal from shop floor and maintain organization in storage yard.
- Assist Lead Technician with local pick up/delivery of production parts, tools, shop supplies as needed.
- Recycling wire, cardboard, metal scraps.
- Practice continuous improvement behaviors to develop or improve on procedures that drive a culture of cleanliness.
- Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its core values, and other associates while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
- May provide production assistance in shipping/receiving and material handling, as needed.
- Upkeep of walkways including shoveling and salting during winter months.
- Act as a back-up to the Lead Facility Technician during their absence.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Clean driving record
- Regularly required to stand, bend, crouch, and reach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to use basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, custodial hand, and electric powered tools.
- Punctuality and good attendance required.
- Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrate flexibility in a changing environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

- Physical fitness and strength to lift 30-50 lbs. regularly.
