Board Certified Music Therapist

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team and provide exceptional music therapy services to our diverse clientele.
**Compensation and Benefits: **
- Competitive starting pay range: $25-$32 per hour, based on experience and training. Shift work, includes direct (client contact) and indirect (documentation, driving, meetings, etc) hours.
- Minimum 25 hours per week, with opportunities for full-time employment (32-40 hours per week).
- $3000 sign-on bonus for applicants currently living outside of Maryland or DC. Intended to offset any associated relocation expenses. Provided one month after hire date. 25 hours minimum per week to qualify.

- Travel reimbursement at $0.67 per mile between client locations to ensure fair compensation for travel time. Federal maximum reimbursement.
- Coverage of professional dues and licensure fees, including CBMT dues and State of Maryland licensure fees, on an annual basis.

- Regular 1:1 supervision meetings with a dedicated supervisor to support your professional growth. Twice monthly group supervision meetings.
- $600 annual allowance for continuing education credits (CMTEs) or external supervision to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.

**Job Responsibilities: **
- Deliver relationship-centered music therapy services to individuals of all ages and abilities in a variety of settings, including in-office location, public and nonpublic schools, assisted living facilities, group homes, and other community contracts.
- Showcase exceptional clinical musicianship skills across multiple instruments, including digital music technology, to meet the diverse needs and preferences of our clients.
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and availability to accommodate afternoon/evening sessions and occasional Saturdays with advance notice, ensuring accessibility for all clients.
- Cultivate effective communication and collaboration with clients, caregivers, interdisciplinary team members, and supervisors through clear and compassionate interactions.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and growth, including obtaining and maintaining Board Certification (MT-BC) and licensure as a Licensed Professional Music Therapist (LPMT) in the state of Maryland.
**Qualifications: **
- Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC).
- Maryland state licensure as a Licensed Professional Music Therapist (LPMT) required prior to providing direct client services.
- Previous clinical experience in music therapy preferred, with a demonstrated ability to engage and connect with diverse populations.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with a genuine passion for serving individuals with varying needs and backgrounds.
- Reliable transportation and access to a working cell phone for communication and scheduling purposes.
