We are looking for an organized enthusiastic person with great communications skills to work at the front desk of our emergency/ urgent care veterinary clinic.
Hours: Full-time (~35 hours/week). Hours are 6pm - 2am during the weekday, Saturday or Sunday noon - midnight. Some holiday hours are required. There may also be a part-time position available upon request.
You must be able to multitask, be on your feet for several hours at a time, and be able and willing to learn our veterinary software program. Front desk / client service experience is a must, veterinary clinic experience is preferred.
Work Responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple clients and communicating between clients and technical staff to create a high quality of care
- Warmly greeting clients and checking in patients
- Answering phones (multiple lines)
- Triaging and notifying staff of emergency cases
- Creating a warm, inviting and welcoming environment for our clients and patients
- Keeping clients informed about the status of their pet
- Checking out patients (financial transactions), taking down payments, scheduling appointments, etc.
- Preparing records for transfer to referring clinics
- All those other miscellaneous tasks that help create a high quality clinic for our clients, patients, and referring local clinics
Requirements
- Have 1+ years client service experience, ideally front desk experience
- Some experience or education in veterinary medicine. Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
- Maintain professionalism in high-stress situations
- Work well with others and can take direction well
- Are able to lift 50+ lbs.
