The Packaging Associate is responsible for the final review of finished product and packaging materials and for packaging product for delivery to our end user, the customer.
- Visually inspect finished products and packaging materials to ensure they meet quality expectations
- Communicate concerns to Quality Auditor, Operator, Lead Operator and/or Supervisor
- Discard product that does not meet expectations in accordance with site procedures
- Be cognizant of surroundings and report any environmental, equipment or material issues that may arise.
- Package all product types for all lines in the facility
- Package final products in accordance with the specification requirements including
- Count and/or stack height
- Bagging of products
- Sealing of bags
- Boxing of product sleeves
- Apply required labeling and ensure date coding and other necessary information is as expected
- Build/stack boxes in accordance with pallet/stack layout
- Manually palletize as required
- Perform rework for rejected product or damaged boxes
- Able to properly utilize packaging equipment, including
- Resetting the ink jet printers.
- Operating the auto bagger and making minor adjustments as needed to ensure the product is protected.
- Using taping and/or box sealing equipment to properly seal the box
- Load and stage KDs (boxes), as directed
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively and work closely and productively as part of a actions and those around them to ensure that incidents do not occur
- Proactively identifies and reports unsafe actions or conditions to the supervisory staff
- Basic understanding of E-stops including when and how to use them
- Understanding of authorized vs. affected Lock Out Tag Out employee
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, distribution or other industrial setting preferred.
- Comparable experience handling tasks that are repetitive in nature, at a steady pace.

- Able to stand and walk constantly on a cement floor surface
- Use of hands, fingers, arms, and shoulders constantly
- Reaching out frequently
- Lifting to a maximum of 30 lbs.
- Rotating or twisting constantly
