Job Description:
We are actively seeking a dynamic and driven GL Accountant who embodies our core values to become an integral part of our expanding team. As a General Ledger Accountant with Rise, you’ll enjoy helping our clients and our team by ensuring the timely production of accurate client financial statements and providing financial guidance to our internal teams. Someone best suited for this role should have either an accounting degree or equivalent experience. This position will require frequent interaction with staff and clients..
The ideal candidate will be entrusted to tackle challenges head-on, demonstrating initiative and ingenuity to develop solutions within the framework of RISE operations. Adept at fostering relationships, you will unite and motivate a team of high achievers who share our vision for excellence in association management and financial services. This role demands superior communication skills, a firm grasp of financial principles, and a comprehensive understanding of property management and community association dynamics. Moreover, it necessitates a resilient "find a way" mindset, a tireless work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment characterized by multiple concurrent priorities.
Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Perform daily bank reconciliations and post bank transactions to the ledger.
· Prepare and post journal entries.
· Maintain and update prepaid schedules.
· Assist the Accounts Payable (AP) team as needed.
· Manage the application and movement of payments.
· Contribute to month-end close processes.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a GL Accountant OR a college degree in Accounting.
· Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting principles.
· Proficiency in accrual basis accounting.
· Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume role.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Preferably in a Property/Association Management environment
· Proven ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels; not afraid to dive in and execute work as needed.
Education/Certification Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Accounting
· Or Min 2 years experience in accounting, preferably within property management
