Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to lead our small IT department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management and a deep understanding of Windows environments, networking, virtualization, security, and strong documentation skills. The IT Manager will oversee all IT operations, manage local and remote team members, and ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions.

Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management: Lead a small IT team by managing IT staff, defining departmental goals, and planning and executing IT projects.
System Administration: Oversee the administration of Windows server environments, including system updates, backups, and user management.
Network Management: Manage Cisco and Meraki switches and routers, ensuring robust and secure network infrastructure. Oversee the Business VoiceEdge VOIP system for reliable telephony communication across all locations.
Virtualization: Manage the implementation and maintain virtualization environments using VMware or similar technologies, optimizing server resources and disaster recovery.
Security: Develop and enforce policies and procedures to protect IT assets and data integrity. Manage security protocols, including data security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships and assist in the negotiation of contracts for hardware, software, and other IT supplies.
Technical Support: Oversee the resolution of escalated IT support issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
Budget Management: Work with IDN management to prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness in IT purchases and projects.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of managing IT operations within a Windows environment.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in Windows server setup, configuration, and maintenance. AIX, Linux, and Unix administration are a plus.
Strong understanding of network architectures, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and IT security best practices.
Familiarity with the latest technology trends and IT management software.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, manage projects, and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues efficiently.
Documentation: The ability to document processes and procedures is a must.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Personal Growth: Relevant IT certifications and a commitment to ongoing professional development are highly regarded.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in the distribution sector is preferred but is not a requirement for this position.
