Job Role Summary
The Treatment Adherence Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the administrative components of the Peer Navigation Program. The Supervisor assigns eligible clients to peers; recruits, trains, supervises, coaches, and evaluates intervention team staff; coordinates clinical supervision of the peers; assists with the implementation and monitoring of the evaluation plan ensuring timely data collection; determines and manages strategic alliances and maintains program collaborative relationships; facilitates intervention team meetings and case conferencing meetings. The supervisor is responsible for grant and report writing activities related to this intervention. This is a grant funded position and continued employment is contingent upon receipt of the grant.
Associated Job Duties

Plans, prepares, implements, and supervises all aspects of peer navigation with attention to program and staff goals; ensuring compliance with grant requirements, policies and procedures.
- Supervises and directs peer navigation staff, including but not limited to: making hiring and termination recommendations; interviewing and disciplining staff; approving time and attendance; planning work schedules; conducting performance appraisals; and assisting with staff onboarding and ongoing training and development
- Provides administrative support for the peer team with managing client caseloads, finding resources, ensuring work is documented as part of the client's records, and managing relationships and communication with team members and partners
- Assures the quality and integrity of all peer navigation activities, including but not limited to: maintaining client confidentiality; securing records and client health information per MCPHD and HIPAA regulations; ensuring the safety of staff and program property; coordinating with the Clinical Supervisor to ensure appropriate oversight and a safe, productive and effective experience for the clients and staff.
- Conducts evaluation and quality assurance to measure progress towards goals, understand current issues, or as part of a grant requirement
- Participates in public health emergency preparedness exercises and in the response to public health emergencies, as directed
- Participates in a minimum of two H.O.P.E. events totaling a minimum of eight (8) hours annually
- Other duties as assigned.
- Serve on appropriate committees and task forces as assigned
- Create educational materials/programs providing an emphasis on HIV care and treatment including retention strategies
- Maintain confidentiality of client records and information
- Attend meetings and conferences as required
- Performing the duties of Peer Navigator/Treatment Adherence Specialist when needed or as directed
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in public health, education or social services field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in HIV prevention, care and treatment
- Two years or more experience in project management, program planning, and evaluation is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking
- Ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills and three to five years of progressively responsible professional work experience.

Working Environment

Standard office environment.
- Field work that includes engagement with clients, consumers, and service providers.
- Exposure to communicable disease, illness, and irate community members.
- Some physical effort associated with filing, carrying supplies for health fairs and/or exhibits, travel between main office and meetings, program site(s), and health fairs.
- Required to drive both in-county and out-of-county for the coordination of program initiatives.
- May be required to work evenings and weekends.
