Job Specifics:
- Set the tone, direction, plan and voice of B4 Communications and Brand and take the responsibility for its outcomes.
- Work with Creative Director to ensure church is informed of announcements and celebrations while aligning with vision and voice of B4.
- Project management and execution in graphics, video, social media, website and print as it relates to the services, ministries and initiatives of B4.
- Research, analyze, and write—to collect and communicate information for church communications projects.
- Recommend updates to, and design enhancements for, the church’s digital presence, e.g., web site(s), native social platforms, mobile app(s).
- Manage Team employees, lead, inspire, equip and delegate tasks. Troubleshoot issues as they arise.

- A confessing Spirit-led Christian who holds to the ICFG statement of faith. Committed to an ethical lifestyle per the B4Church employee handbook. Intent on pursuing intimacy with God. Passionate about making mature, reproducing disciples.
- Able to maintain high level of integrity, discernment and discretion in caring for people. Carefully handels sensitive information.
- A self-motivated learner who continually improves vocational knowledge and skills. Teachable with a growth mindset.
- Ability to use common workplace technology, including, but not limited to, Google Workplace Apps, database management and Planning Center with speed and accuracy. Willingness and aptitude to learn and use specialized computer programs & applications.
- Demonstrates innovation, initiative, organizational skills, and professional accountability. Creatively troubleshoots and solves problems.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills when working with others.
- Experience in leading others in mission and values. Required to recruit new volunteers, and coach/give feedback and motivate multiple volunteer teams.
- Employ strong interpersonal skills required with sensitivity to faith and beliefs in contact with employees, volunteers and congregants. Occasionally relied upon to address difficult and potentially confidential situations amongst staff, volunteers, or congregants in a negotiating role.
- Required ability to frequently adapt and flex in response to changing priorities, fluctuation in deadlines, and interruptions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through oral and written formats with demonstrated ablility to make effective group presentations.
- Bachelor's degree with college level applicable training or equivalent personal study and 3 years effective, job relevant, progressive and supervisory experience. At church’s discretion, alternative educational degrees or professional certifications may be substituted.
Essential Functions
- Provide prayerful partnership with leadership for the overall function of the communications team.
- Work cross-departmentally to educate and partner with other ministries.
- Cultivate a healthy and vibrant spiritual life, maintaining life-giving rhythms by respecting the proper balance between rest and work. Offer wise, discerning spiritual care and biblical guidance to others when appropriate from the overflow of life in one’s self. Know when to provide appropriate counseling referrals.
- Implement careful stewardship, accurate budgeting, and proper/consistent use of finance approval systems. Plan and make recommendations to dept. head regarding expenditures and program development. Maintain accountability by monitoring budget and making adjustments.
- Lead in all aspects of volunteer partnership, making serving at B4Church an essential component of adult discipleship. This includes but is not limited to recruiting and training, identifying proper placement placement, leadership and spiritual development, and onboarding. Ensure you maintain good communication with volunteers. Ensure compliance with the Volunteer Application Process.
- Continually equip, develop and release volunteers into growing leadership positions in the various communications team areas.
- Study to stay current on growing body of information, methods and resources applicable to communications.
- Perform ongoing assessment of programs and procedures to determine effectiveness and refine and adjust accordingly incorporating direction from the Lord and leadership.
- Research for and perform spiritual care and biblical guidance for the needs of individuals, including keeping appropriate documentation. Develop discernment skills and methods while understanding own limits. Know when to provide appropriate counseling referrals. Report all significant events and crises to the department leader.
- Work with the supervisor to ensure the church is informed of announcements and celebrations and provide communication regarding events to other departments.
- Implement advanced calendaring for cross-departmental cohesion and adequate notification for facilities, food services, etc.
- Act as a contributing member of all requested staff/team meetings and in the pastoral responsibilities or performing baptisms, weddings, funerals, serving at all major services, etc.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
