Tyto Athene is searching for a Subcontracts Administrator responsible for overall supply chain operations that include cradle-to-grave procurement actions consisting of new business proposals and subcontract administration for ongoing programs with low to medium complexity. Must be an excellent communicator to coordinate and collaborate with external suppliers and subcontractors, and company professionals from various disciplines. This position is based in Herndon, VA. Remote or telework may be considered for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Supports programs with supplier performance, supply chain issue resolution, and risk/opportunity management. Support program leaders in ensuring suppliers/subcontractors perform within the established program cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Plans and coordinates supplier qualification process; develops and issues requests for proposal (RFPs); and conducts bid analysis, contract development, assists in term and price negotiations, and performs administration to include building and maintaining compliant files.
- Aides in the research and analysis of the competitive market, searching for the best price along with availability of services that the company needs to fulfill its obligations. Executes purchase orders and subcontracts following applicable company and government regulations.
- Builds relationships with internal stakeholders and external subcontractors.
- Aligns company goals with personal development and supports company leaders in fostering a proactive forward-thinking team environment to drive performance to include continuous improvement initiatives, and identification of opportunities for enhanced efficiencies.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management or other relevant field of study.
- Minimum of three (3) years of direct Supply Chain/Subcontracts Administration experience, with at least two (2) years of experience with federal or Department of Defense procurements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools/applications. Intermediate skills required.
- Familiarity with FAR and DFARS.
- Experience in assisting with proposal compliance, evaluation, price/cost analyses (FAR 15.4), and subcontract negotiations.
- Familiarity with most Contract Types (Firm-Fixed Price, Time & Material, Cost Plus, and Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity).
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
- One who excels at working independently, yet is a team player, proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent problem solving and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and handle non-standard work hours.
