- Current Arkansas License As A Registered Nurse
- Experience In Working With Developmentally Disabled;
- Satisfactorily pass drug screens, criminal background check, adult & child maltreatment check, FBI checks as required by BBDCS, DDS & DHS

- JOB DUTIES: RN
- Administer medication to individuals receiving services as prescribed by licensed M.D. and document appropriately.
- Accompany individuals to medical appointments in emergency situations.
- Administer emergency first aid as needed and insure that the Center’s policies and procedures are observed; document all services rendered.
- Take and record blood pressure and pulse, temperature, etc. of persons as needed.
- Assist in isolating persons who are potentially contagious from contact with other people.
- Assist with service recipients’ special needs, including tube feeding, specialized feeding, and other self care assistance which may be required.
- Report all emergencies to Executive Director or designee.
- Participate in programming conferences when requested by Director of Children’s Services / Director of Adult Services.
- Report all suspected abuse to the Executive Director or designee.
- Attend staff meetings, and extracurricular events or other meetings as assigned by Executive Director
- Must be knowledgeable of BBDCS policies and must follow them.
- Maintain records on pre-school immunizations and notify parents when immunizations are due.
- Assist in maintaining adequate first aid supplies.
- Contact physician when there is a change in medication given to individuals receiving services;
- Adhere to the BBDCS’s Policy and Procedures regarding privacy and the security of protected health information (PHI);
- All other assigned duties

- Other skills and Abilities: Must have a comprehensive knowledge of behavior modification methods, the ability to analyze consumer problems and behaviors, and understanding of operational procedures and the ability to help consumers work through problem solving.
