**Clinical Pharmacist**
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to join a team of pharmacists at a level II Trauma Center in Southwestern CT. The Clinical Pharmacist will play a crucial role in providing pharmaceutical care to patients in our hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy, acute pain management, and patient assessment.
**Duties:**
- Utilize medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to assess and manage patient medication therapies effectively.
- Work in a Level II Trauma Center to provide specialized pharmaceutical care to patients with diverse needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pain management strategies for patients.
- Administer IV infusions and ensure proper dosage calculations and administration.
- Implement clinical pharmacy practices to enhance patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques for medication preparation and administration.
- Contribute expertise in hospital medicine to support comprehensive patient care.
- Specialize in acute pain management through tailored pharmaceutical interventions.
**Experience:**
- Previous experience in clinical pharmacy or a related field is preferred but not required. New grads are welcome to apply
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with pain management protocols and best practices.
- Knowledge of IV infusion procedures and calculations.
- Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is beneficial but not required.
**Requirements:**
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Ability to work effectively in a Level II Trauma Center environment.
- Proficiency in IV infusion techniques and calculations.
- Experience with clinical pharmacy practices and aseptic techniques.
**Nice-to-Have Skills:**
- Prior experience in acute pain management.
- Familiarity with patient assessment procedures.

Pay: $62.55 - $64.31 per hour
