We are looking to add an IT Technician to our team. The IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to resolve problems with the organization's networks and systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain software, computers, printers and peripherals for employees to support their day-to-day activities, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Networking Administration (configure, deploy, support and update components such as routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, etc.)
- Server Administration (configure, deploy, support and update Windows Server, CentOS, Debian, etc.)
- Manage user accounts (creation, update and manage).
- Purchasing (computers, servers, peripherals, software, etc.)
- Adapt and learn about new technologies and make recommendations on how to improve processes and become more efficient.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation for on-site installations and configurations.
- Provide detailed reports and updates to management and customers as required.
- Provide basic training to employees on new IT systems and technologies.
- Travel to other distribution centers as necessary.
Skills
- Superior understanding of Information Security and computer and networking hardware and software systems.
- Experience with software development (API consumption, git, scripting languages, databases).
- Active Directory and Hyper-V knowledge is a plus.
- Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical employees.
- Ability to interact and listen to employees with kindness and patience.
- Detail orientated with the ability to retain information and relay accurately.
- High level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Exhibit honesty, integrity, and judgement in all aspects of the position.
- A current Michigan driver’s license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $27.50 per hour
