Job Duties ofPulmonary Registered Nurse:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with pulmonary conditions.
- Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, and lung sounds.
- Develop personalized care plans and administer appropriate medications and therapies.
- Educate patients and families on pulmonary conditions and self-management strategies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
SkillsofPulmonary Registered Nurse:
- Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with pulmonary conditions, evaluating respiratory symptoms, vital signs, and lung sounds.
- Critical Thinking: Recognize changes in patient condition, assess responses to treatments, and make appropriate clinical judgments for optimal care.
- Communication: Effectively educate patients and families about pulmonary conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
- Technical Proficiency: Manage and operate respiratory equipment, administer medications and therapies specific to respiratory conditions, and implement life-saving measures during emergencies.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate medical records, document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
