Essential Duties and Responsibilities: shall include but is not limited to the following:
- Supervision of daily classroom operations
- Supervision of preparation of IEP's
- Supervision of all classroom personnel
- Supervision of scheduling classroom staff work hours and approval of leave requests
- Conducting staff meetings with classroom staff
- Staff training as needed
- Direct care of students in absence of teachers or other classroom staff
- Communication with parents and agency representatives in matters related to classroom operations
- Supervision of funds allocated monthly to educational department
- Supervision of documentation of service delivery by classroom staff
- Supervision of preparation of quarterly reports
- Crisis management procedures
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of Master's Degree in Psychology, Education or Special Education; supervisory experience; Alabama Teacher Certification or equivalent from another state; good driving record
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- To include, but not limited to: lifting and lowering individuals to and from the floor, standing from kneeling position and dropping to kneeling position while physically controlling an individual, blocking attempted blows and bites, transporting individuals in crisis state, and deflecting blows from thrown objects
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal standards
