Job Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic team at Nibav Lifts Inc. The Material Handler will play a vital role in our operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Key Responsibilities:
- Material Movement: Safely and efficiently transport materials and products within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Inventory Management: Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments. Verify accuracy against purchase orders and store materials in designated areas.
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick materials for production orders and prepare them for transfer to the manufacturing floor.
- Stock Maintenance: Monitor inventory levels and perform regular stock counts to ensure accuracy. Report discrepancies and assist in inventory adjustments.
- Quality Control: Inspect materials for defects or damage and ensure they meet company standards before processing.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory levels, and stock transactions using inventory management systems.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe by following safety protocols and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure seamless operations and timely completion of orders.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred. Forklift certification is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in handling materials and maintaining inventory records.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills for using inventory management systems and processing documentation.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining productivity and quality standards.
