McKenzie Freight Solutions is working with a client based in Houston, TX, who is seeking an experienced CDL-A Owner-Operator position.
Job Title: CDL-A Owner-Operator
Tax Classification: 1099 Independent Contractor
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Location: Interstate (preferably all 48 states) but if they prefer regional, they can do so.
Compensation
Average pay per week: $7,500 (with $885 deductible, if they own their own truck)
$7,500 (with $1350 deductible if they lease our truck)

Credential/Experience Requirements
License required: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), 2 years minimum
Endorsements required: None
Experience Required: 2 years minimum VERIFIABLE Semi-truck experience.
Must have an excellent driving record (7-year MVR will be reviewed)
Pre- Employment Drug & Alcohol Test required.
Medical Card Required. Must be able to pass and maintain DOT physical requirements,
Drivers on this account may be required to drive at night.
Drivers on this account must be able to get in and out of truck safely to hook and unhook trailers.

Additional Responsibilities and Expectations
Drivers on this account must be able to complete the following:
Safely operate a CDL-A vehicle for over-the-road (OTR) deliveries.
Utilize commercial driving skills to transport various types of vehicles.
Demonstrate proficiency in handling trailers as needed.
Perform automotive repairs as necessary to ensure vehicle functionality.
Utilize driver experience to efficiently navigate routes and deliver freight.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and cargo.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to ensure timely deliveries.
