Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join their team. This is a full charge controller position responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, to ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise in double entry bookkeeping, cost accounting, and general ledger reconciliation will be essential in maintaining the financial health of our organization.
Duties:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Perform account analysis and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely payment of employee salaries
- Conduct regular audits to identify potential risks or discrepancies
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is strongly preferred
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting
- ERP experience
- Proficiency in account analysis, general ledger reconciliation, and account reconciliation
- Excellent understanding of debits, credits, and financial statements
- Experience with payroll processing is a plus
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
