Overview:
AAA Life Insurance Company is looking for an Analytics Engineer to build and maintain data infrastructure essential to AAA Life’s business intelligence, data governance and operational reporting efforts. You will support data analytic processes from dimensional modeling, transformations, and visualization. The Analytics Engineer will also design data architecture to facilitate analysis and ensure best-in-class operational reliability using data modeling best practices, including modularity.
Responsibilities:

Designing, building, and maintaining critical data models and dashboards to ensure highly accurate and reliable business reporting.

Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and ensure that data solutions meet their needs.

Monitoring daily job execution as well as diagnosing/fixing issues within our data platform to ensure SLAs are met with internal stakeholders.

Writing and maintaining scalable, efficient, and maintainable SQL, dbt, Jinja, and Python code for data analysis, transformation, and visualization.

Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using dbt and GitHub actions.

Identify gaps in our data collection capabilities and collaborate with product and engineering on data capture specifications.

Designing and implementing data visualization dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or a related technical field.

2+ years’ experience in an analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or data analyst role.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with SQL and dbt, including modeling and transforming data.

Dimensional Modeling experience utilizing Kimball or Inmon principals like star schema, snowflake, data vault, fact and dimension tables.

Proficiency in Python including the Pandas and Numpy libraries.

Expertise with version control software like Git and the ability to participate in code reviews with peers.

Ability to leverage tools, business intuition, and attention to detail for data validation, QA, and technical documentation.

Experience with data visualization tools, prefer Power BI.

Familiarity with a cloud data warehouse like Redshift and Snowflake
