Position Overview:
As the Salesforce Developer, you will assist with Salesforce development, integrations, and maintenance efforts. This position nestles under the Operations Department and works closely with our Operations Manager under the direction of the Executive Director.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent is required.
- 5+ years of professional Salesforce development experience is required.
- Experience working with fintech platforms and previous experience working with salesforce systems within the financial sector preferred.
- Proficiency in Apex and C# Visualforce is required.
- Familiarity with Lightning Web Components, SOQL, SOSL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development technologies is a plus.
- Experience building complex, real-time data integrations between Salesforce and external systems.
- Experience with refactoring and maintaining legacy systems.
- Comfortable with basic Salesforce admin duties.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with differing knowledge levels and technical ability.
- Ability to plan and implement projects on time.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Someone who seeks to be exposed to financial products/services and related custom development while collaborating with SELF’s operations department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with integrations and integrations testing.
- Assist with faster implementation of new projects and features.
- Contribute to the technical implementation of Salesforce projects, this can include Salesforce administration needs as well.
- Utilize Salesforce technologies to develop, test, implement, document, and maintain high quality business systems solutions.
- Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout lifecycle to identify issues/defects.
- Design and implement Salesforce.com integration with external applications and systems.
- Configure/build new and enhanced functionality in the Salesforce.com platform using declarative and/or programmatic solutions.
- Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform.
- Develop integration process definition and application design.
- Create custom applications to interface with client and Salesforce.com.
- Follow Agile software development methodology and team architecture standards.
- Code using the Salesforce APIs.
- Customize Salesforce applications using custom objects, workflows, validations, and formulas while adhering to Salesforce best practices.
