Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. As an RN, you will provide skilled nursing care to patients, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatments and protocols. This position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care, clinical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients requiring professional nursing services.
- Assess, plan, and implement client care according to individualized Plans of Care or Doctor's orders.
- Perform a variety of medical procedures including dressing changes, urinary catheter insertion and irrigation, oxygen administration, tracheostomy care, gastrostomy tube feedings and medication administration, SQ or IM injections, insulin administration, specimen collection, nephrostomy tube flushes, colostomy care and irrigation, and emergency procedures such as CPR.
- Conduct staff training and in-services as required.
- Observe and manage tube feeding via gastrostomy or jejunal tube.
- Demonstrate clinical competency in tracheal suctioning as per established protocols.
- Provide oversight and perform LPN duties when necessary.
- Supervise LPNs clinically.
- Participate in short-term nursing assignments such as private duty nursing or visiting nurse services for specialized care needs.
- Maintain comprehensive and timely completion of all nursing tasks.
- Maintain current certifications in CPR and Infection Control for Health Care Workers.
- Provide nursing triage for non-medically enhanced residents during off-hours, screening symptoms and directing appropriate actions based on established protocols.
Training Requirements:
- Complete OPWDD 2-Day Nurse Orientation, PRAISE, Diabetic Train-the-Trainer, and Nursing Triage Course.
- Complete tracheostomy care and suctioning competency assessment before assignment in Medically Enhanced Residences.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license.
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (specific experience preferred).
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Locations and needs:
2 RN's for , 1 RN for Voorhies & 11th Ave IRA, 1 RN for 53rd St & 40th St IRA (all locations in Brooklyn, NY)
2 Nurses needed for 960 Elton St.
Schedule: 4-5 days/wk 9am-5pm 3:30pm-11:30pm
1 Nurse needed for Voorhies & 11th Ave
Schedule: 4 days/wk 9am-5pm
1 Nurse needed for 53rd St & 40th St
Schedule: 4 days/wk 8am-4pm

Pay: $49.89 - $54.08 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
