DESCRIPTION
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring an Administrative Assistant to work in our Safeguards and Security department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off. You will report to Mission Support Division Director and work horizontally with the administrative team.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate resiliency, responsiveness, and the ability to bring their whole selves to work to apply all their skills and energy to achieving our mission. This position fosters confidentiality, prudent judgement, and discretion in all forms of communications. Interpersonal engagement in response to change is also key to this position. Those who can exude a responsive, customer-centric attitude when faced with uncertainty and ambiguity will be most successful in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Compose and types, edits, and proofs a variety of documents, reports, and correspondence. Design and/or create charts and graphs to be used in oral presentations. Initiate and respond directly to correspondence of both routine and non-routine nature. Respond to problems/inquires and completes periodic and special reports.
Efficiently manage multiple schedules with accuracy and efficiency while prioritizing organizational needs. Proactively resolve scheduling conflicts and coordinate collaborative meetings.
Coordinate travel and logistics accommodations for organization(s) and prepare travel expense records.
Handle project classified and unclassified sensitive data and materials according to protocol while maintaining surveillance against security infractions and violations.
Advise managers and personnel in making decisions to retain, store, or destroy organization records, ensuring special record-keeping requirements are met for various record classifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from high school or equivalency plus 2-4+ relevant administrative experience.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
Experience supporting management preferred.
JOB INFORMATION:
The pay range for this position is: Level 2 ($19.41 - $31.05) / Level 3 ($21.90 - $36.13). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.

TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
