We are seeking a Senior Accountant that will be responsible for managing and overseeing certain financial activities for owned and operated portfolios. This role requires experience in the skilled nursing industry and familiarity with both owned and managed properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review quarterly HUD and covenant reports, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Provide oversight of third-party vendors handling external accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain accurate financial records for both owned and managed properties.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist with audits and other financial reviews as needed.
- Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and control.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on the skilled nursing industry.
- Experience with multi-state financial operations and reporting.
- Proven track record of managing quarterly HUD and covenant reporting.
- Strong knowledge of month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Experience overseeing third-party vendors for external AR processes.
- Familiarity with accounting for both owned and managed properties.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
