The Connecticut chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Connecticut) is a association that serves as a resource to architects and the public. Our membership is comprised of architects, architectural designers working towards licensure, students, and professionals in allied fields. Our members share a passion for architecture and a desire to change the world through the power of design.
In this role, organizational skills are key as you will work closely with the AIA CT team to manage brand presence and guidelines for all communications and the website, and craft concise and relevant emails to our over 1,500 members to encourage participation in upcoming events and programs.
Responsibilities also include managing and coordinating social media posts on Instagram and LinkedIn, and overseeing 8 awards programs per year, which involves working with awards juries, managing award submissions, proofing and editing copy for the biweekly newsletter and monthly digital magazine, handling marketing tasks for the annual conference, as well as writing press releases.
Besides Microsoft Office programs, experience in Canva, WordPress, Zoom, Adobe software, Vimeo, and email management systems such as GetResponse, Constant Contact, or Mailchimp is a plus.
Monday - Thursday (office) Fridays (work from home)
Additional Requirements:
- Degree or related field in Business, Marketing, Communications. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and participate as a team
- Must have reliable transportation, insurance, and valid driver's
- Must be able to work evening events if warranted.
