OUR Credit Union is seeking a full time Call Center Specialist to work at our Warren Branch location. This position will have a remote work opportunity after an evaluation period. This position works within our Call Center to assist members through remote delivery channels such as phone, email, chat or text. We are looking for individuals who want to make a positive difference in the lives of our members by helping resolve their requests in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires exceptional communication skills to demonstrate empathy and patience with members via the remote channels, as well as the ability to multitask during conversations to handle any inquiries or requests from members regarding their accounts. The candidate will need to feel comfortable with cross selling products and services as appropriate to improve the member's financial situation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assists members and potential members with their telephone, email, and chat requests; answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve; refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
- Performs back-office tasks/duties such as; debit and VISA card maintenance, Bill payment maintenance, Mobile and Online Banking assistance, etc.
- Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells services to members.
Job Qualifications: Required:
- Two years of customer service experience
- A high school education or GED
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Exceptional Communication Skills both verbal and written
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills
Preferred:
- Previous financial institution experience
- Previous experience working in a Call Center
- Prior knowledge of the Symitar Episys Core System, Meridian Link, FIS, Fiserv EFT
