American Flatbread located on Lareau Farm, in the Mad River Valley, Waitsfield, Vermont is looking for a year round skilled prep cook to prepare our delicious wood-fired pizzas and salads Wednesday - Sunday daytime. Kitchen experience is preferred but willing to train the right people. Competitive hourly rate plus share of tips. The Original American Flatbread restaurant features pizza cooked in a wood-fired earthen oven. Lareau Farm is a working farm, with over 2 acres of organic gardens and pastures for pigs, chickens and turkey. The attached farmhouse is a 12 room inn which serves a full country breakfast. In 2016 the historic dairy barn was restored and now serves as a summer art gallery and reception venue.
The Mad River Valley, Waitsfield Vermont, is a landscape of farms, forests and covered bridges, situated beneath the ridgeline that is home to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen Ski Areas. Refreshingly undeveloped, there are horse-xing signs and cow pastures but not a single traffic light. The landscape and buildings of the area retain the character of a rural farming community yet is home to two ski areas, many restaurants, unique shops and artist studios.
