The Museum Associate is the first point of contact for guests visiting the Billy Graham Museum at Wheaton College. Qualified candidates should be current graduate students with strong communication skills, flexibility, enthusiasm, and an ability to interact with diverse visitor populations. Museum Associates must be hospitable, professional, and sensitive to the spiritual needs and questions of Museum guests.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide front desk guest reception service at the Billy Graham Museum, welcoming visitors and providing general information about the College and Museum.
- Answer guests’ questions about Christian faith and spiritual reflection.
- Open and close the Museum, including turning on/off exhibits, recording key metrics, and reconciling daily donations.
- Monitor office supply inventory and restock book displays.
- Monitor and report issues with exhibit displays and equipment.
- Maintain awareness of safety and security policies.
- Assist in light office duties, and other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills; experience in public-facing role preferred.
- Good interpersonal skills in interacting with guests of various backgrounds.
- Proficiency in basic accounting math.
- Knowledge of campus buildings and services.
