Description:This is the high-level position title within this department. Employees at this level are expected to have developed supervisory capabilities and be able to lead a team of technicians efficiently and effectively. Senior technicians are expected to maintain and manage maintenance and technician schedules, have a high level of communication and technical capabilities that should encompass expertise in both mechanical and electrical competency.
Requirements:Job Functions:
- All duties covered under Maintenance Technician level I and II
- Corrective Maintenance: Cover all the corrective maintenance in the shop, including specialist adjustment/reprogramming on the machinery/robots/plc. Technician Level III won’t require so much specialist support from the vendor but Tech Level III will be able to open tickets with the vendor (SCM, IMA, Wemhoner, OMGA, etc.) to receive phone support. Or in the last case, report the problem with maintenance supervisor to bring the specialist support to the shop.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance following Daily Schedules including SCM machinery (CNC, Beam Saw, Flexstores, Omal), IMA Machinery (Edga banders, Beam Saw) Wemhoner Machinery (Press, Flipper) COIMA Machinery, Polychem Machinery, Manual Machinery (Drill press, miter machine, chop saw, band saw, stop saw,etc.) Covering all the production machinery in the shop.
- Predictive Maintenance: Predictive futures failures on the machines, report any issues on the machines, develop solutions/actions to fix them. As result of the inspections made during the preventive maintenance.
- Reports: Work with a daily schedule to report the work orders made during the day. Use of FIIX Software.
- Supplies Inventory: Keep the supplies inventory spreadsheet updated. Troubleshoot and replace defective electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components
- Repair and overhaul equipment to close tolerances with attention to detail
- Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC, AC, and servo drives
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Able to workdays, including overtime.
- PC competency, Word & Excel and Windows OS proficiency
Safety responsibilities (are not limited to the points below)
- Perform Lock Out Tag Out
- Follow all Manufacturing Safety regulations and State guidelines.
- Follow all common employee safety practices.
Experience in the following areas
- Repair of material handling equipment
- Predictive/ Preventative maintenance tools and procedure completion and implementation
- Woodworking, cabinet manufacturing fabrication
- Electrical and electronic principles
- 6 + year documented industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
- Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
- Walking with great frequency
- Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
- Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours
