Position Summary
The position of Receptionist is the first contact our customers and potential donors have with Research for Life. The position must make a positive impression upon the general public by performing their duties professionally and in a manner that reflects the mission of RFL and our commitment to donor families.
Required Elements
Education/Experience:
- Education requirement – High School Diploma/GED
- Experience in this job – office experience, customer service experience, receptionist experience - not necessary but a plus
- Experience using computers – word – excel
- Proficiencies needed – Typing – Phone etiquette
- Certifications/licenses needed – None
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for reading and understanding everything in the employee handbook.
- Responsible party for answering, directing, and taking messages for incoming calls.
- Responsible for following instruction for small tasks.
- Responsible for greeting visitors, ensuring they properly sign-in and directing visitors to properly meet their intended party.
- Responsible for becoming familiar with RFL Programs and answering public questions regarding RFL programs.
- Be available to run errands, including purchasing of office supplies, runs to the post office, etc.
- Responsible for accurate filing tasks.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Responsible for light cleaning of office areas.
- Must collaborate with coworkers in a team environment.
- Safety sensitive position with access to personal and health information of donors and must maintain confidentiality.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.

- Must comprehend and be familiar with regulating agencies and their requirements.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
